The family-owned company established in 1977 is managed with care and passion by Pawlak’s family with the fourth generation involved. After a few years, the company tied its history to Gerbera, becoming a pioneer in the mass production of this flower. By 1995, over 10 000 m 2 of a modern greenhouses with movable tables, closed water circulation and computerized climate control was built in Łochowo. In 1984 Vitroflora Tissue Culture Laboratory started its activities. Soon it grew into a commercial laboratory for worldwide supply of TC material of almost all plant varieties. In the years to follow the Laboratory has been expanded to become a highly appreciated Tissue Culture Laboratory worldwide. In 2006, the company commissioned a new facility in Trzęsacz near Bydgoszcz, using the latest technology and equipment. Over the years, Vitroflora has won numerous awards at international horticultural exhibitions. Although the company’s priority is to supply local gardeners with a variety of plants, the company also proudly supplies its unique seedlings to Poland’s neighboring countries and all continents. Despite its international reach, Vitroflora retains its family character, with the active participation of Anna and Karol Pawlak’s children in the company’s daily operations.
